Ecodrive x Lab Alley: We Just Planted Our 100,000th Tree
Unlocking huge milestones, one order at a time.
We Just Planted Our 100,000th Tree
By Holly Elabed, Co-Founder of Lab Alley
We just hit a milestone I'm really proud of: 100,000 mangrove trees planted in East Africa through Lab Alley's partnership with Ecodrive.
When we started this initiative, the concept was simple. Every order placed on our website would plant one tree. One purchase, one tree. It seemed small, but I knew that if we stayed committed, these small acts would create something meaningful.
And they have.

Every time you order from Lab Alley, you're handing us a seedling to plant on your behalf. To see 100,000 of those tiny trees grow into a thriving mangrove ecosystem is remarkable.
Over the course of their lifetime, our customers' trees will remove an estimated 68 million pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere, protecting coastal communities from erosion and storms, and creating over 1,000 local work days in Kenya and Tanzania.
And here's what makes this so special: you made this happen. Every researcher ordering ethanol for their lab, every manufacturer sourcing isopropyl alcohol for production, every formulator getting the exact chemicals they need - you trusted us with your business, and together we've created something that will outlast all of us.
What's been most meaningful to me is hearing from so many of you directly. So many of you have shared that knowing your purchase supports reforestation adds genuine value beyond the transaction. That connection matters deeply to me because we're partners in this, not just a supplier and customer.
As a woman-owned business, I've always wanted our work to mean more than profit, and every one of those 100,000 trees exists because you chose Lab Alley. That's humbling.
What's Next: 1 Million Trees
But we're not stopping here. Our next goal is 1 million trees. If we can plant 100,000, we can plant a million. We want our children to inherit a world that's greener, cleaner, and more resilient than the one we found.

We've also expanded our partnership with Ecodrive to support clean drinking water initiatives in Kenya, because this work doesn't end with reforestation. Behind the scenes, Lab Alley has also already provided clean water to over 1,000 people.
Thank You
Thank you for making this possible. This is what "Essential Chemicals for a Better World" means. It's our promise, and we're keeping it - one order and one tree at a time.
